How to Use this Site

EffectiveNY.org is designed to be a one-stop resource for anyone interested in learning more about the New York State Constitution and Law in general or specific topics.

Constitutional and legal matters are broken down into Topics with certain Topics subdivided into specific issues.

Topics can be accessed from the featured list on the front page or from the drop-down list on the navigation bar.  Each Topic page includes an explanation of why it is a constitutional issue, a brief summary, relevant text from the State Constitution, why it matters, recent press coverage, and an opportunity to share views and ideas about the issue at hand.
